Personal information collected at this site will remain in the hands of the lead researcher at Memorial University and will be stored in a secure, password protected environment. It will not be shared with anyone. At anytime, you may choose to have your personal information removed from the database, by contacting the project leader at admin@nlnature.com

NL Nature does not guarantee the accuracy of sightings posted to the website.
When you upload your observations, you do not give up ownership of the intellectual
property to NL Nature. University researchers affiliated with NL Nature may use
the data that you provide for preliminary assessment of trends, notation of novel
species as a focus for follow-up research, and detection of novel findings of species
in areas where they have previously not been observed. Any publications arising
from these data will contain an acknowledgement to contributors to the NL Nature
website. By participating in this site you agree not to use information posted for
illegal or unethical purposes. Some sighting may be of species-at-risk, which are
legally protected. Please do not harm, remove, or disturb species when viewing them
