MAMMALS
Muskrat begin to mate, River otters are born, Cottontail begin to mate
BIRDS
Ducks and geese migration starts. Resident geese start to nest, Great blue herons start migration, Barred owls nest, Bald eagles begin incubation of eggs, Cormorant start migration, Cranes stat migration.
WILD FLOWERS IN BLOOM
Spring Beauty, Redbud, Hepatica, Red Maples, Rue anemones, Serviceberry, Bloodroot, Pussy Willows, Gooseberries, Dutchman’s Breeches, Spice bush, Squirrel Corn, Fern Fiddleheads appear, Rose Verbena, Wild plums, Marsh Marigolds.
MISCELLANEOUS
Bats start to leave hibernation, Butterflies start to appear.

Northern Gannets begin to show up at breeding colonies in Newfoundland for another year.

Hi, a friend of mine is coming to an island on March 16. DO you think there will be any chance of gannets on Cape St. Mary's?
