What colour was the coyote? I'm looking to compare with a coyote or fox I saw a few days ago from quite a distance.

I've suspected they are in Pippy Park... if you can get a picture of the tracks (with a pen or lens cap or something for scale) that would be appreciated.

Marnhull,
It was grey with a black tip on his tail, and a blackish fur around his shoulder and neck. If you have been up close to both, there is no mistaking it for a fox.
Lessa,
I did not have a camera with me and the tracks were blowing over as I was following him. I have no doubt there will be more sightings, I have never seen a coyote here that seemed interested in what humans were doing. The behaviour is common with the other ratty coyotes across Canada though.

If anyone is interested in tracking and possibly sighting a coyote, we have been seeing fresh tracks all over the Colinet area, though we have yet to spot one.
