good stuff. I am still hoping I will visit the , BIG LAND, again this fall.

I visited that site recently, but didn't see any Ospreys. Could they have nested early??

By Vernon on 8/25/2015 12:59:58 AM

Sam, The ospreys have been around all spring/summer but not in the nest. They seem to disappear for a few days and then are around for a few days. They we in the nest as normal at theor arrival this past May, but sometime in June something happened. No one seems to know for sure.

P.s. wish is was in Ontario-family time and birding vacation.

Thanks, Vernon, for the update. still great to know they are/were still in the area. PS: I just got back from doing the loop. left Southport, Nl., went off the Island through Port-Aux -Basques, travelled the Maritimes, and through Labrador, then came back to the Island to St Barbe, then south. Needed to do that trip. Because of time restraints didn't do much wildlife watching. visited a lot of family in Lab.BUT NEXT TIME...........

When I was in Forteau, I tried to send you a mail, but my Bell Stick wouldn't work on my Laptop.
